While there never seems to be the perfect time to quit smoking, some times are definitely better than others. Thats because quitting smoking takes a lot of energy and if you are focused too much on other things, you wont be able to give quitting the attention it deserves.
Here is a list of times when you might want to postpone quitting:
- Loss of a job
- Change of job
- Moving
- Going through a divorce
- Illness in the family
- Financial stress
Only you can decide when its the right time to quit. Although the sooner you quit, the better off you will be, there is no sense in setting yourself up for a relapse by quitting when you are already under an enormous amount of pressure.
