Mr. W., yours is a common problem. Some people just seem to want to tempt folks who are trying to quit. Thats usually because they themselves have tried to quit, but havent been able to do so. Some of these so called friends just dont have your best interests in heart. We suggest that you try and get these folks on your side. One way is to pull them aside and express to them privately how important this is to you and tell them your reasons for wanting to quit. Let them know that even though they may think they are being funny, its becoming a real problem. Next, ask them to support you and be specific. Give them very specific things they can do like tell the others who are tempting you to knock it off. Tell them how much you would appreciate this.
Mr. W., this also is about confronting people. For most people, confrontation is uncomfortable and its a source of stress.
